Natalie St-Denis

Before becoming a full-time student in social work, I worked front line with a wide range of families accessing social services. I have worked extensively with the homeless population. Before social work, I was a freelance writer, photojournalist, media and communications specialist, as well as project manager. I also completed one course in making video, from story boarding to filming and editing a final product. I then completed a documentary following a group of high school students from Ontario, who went to Kenya volunteering in a small village. One of my professional goals as an academic is to keep it real, and to always find artistic ways to connect social issues with the greater community, so as to affect social change.
