Christine Walsh

Professor Christine Walsh, is an educator, researcher, and activist. She uses action-oriented, community-based research in collaboration with marginalized and stigmatized populations, such as those experiencing poverty and homelessness, to reduce inequity, enhance well-being, and contribute to social justice. To foster meaningful connections with disenfranchised people and create public awareness more broadly, Christine uses arts-based methods: poetry, theatre arts, textile art, photography, digital story-telling, and video and audio-voice. Christine is interested in employing visual research methods in innovative ways promote engagement and prioritizes seldom heard voices in the public sphere.
