Copperhead is a Calgary based quintet that fuses nostalgia of motown, edge of rock and soft ambience of folk to form its unique sound. Winners of Calgary Folk Fest songwriting competition, Copperhead's inaugural album was released in 2015. With gigs like Interstellar Rodeo, CFF, Blockheater Fest, Junofest, and many others, the group is riding a wave of momentum towards their sophomore release scheduled in 2017. Other highlights include taking part in a songwriting session with Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace) and supporting great Canadian acts to the likes of Art Bergmann, Lindi Ortega and Elliot Brood. A freshly expanded 5-piece is getting ready for a busy summer, and, even busier 2018.
