Synopsis
Synopsis "The factory of the future will have only two employees: a man and a dog. The man will be there to feed the dog. The dog will be there to keep the man from touching the equipment." - Warren Bennis Our digital short brings life to the irony and humour of this quote. The audience joins a newly employed factory worker in the course of a day in which a series of events leads to a startling epiphany – his job isn’t quite what he thinks it is. Through the use of humour and irony, our audience will experience and share the factory worker’s profound realization. In the future, the impact of automation on individuals and society will be profound, which begs the following questions: What is the factory of the future? What does the worker of the future do? And, what role does the dog play?
