Nomin Purevjav

I am an aspiring filmmaker who aims to make fictional films that reveal the specific ways in which the synthesis of our technologically driven, late-capitalist culture is reflected in the psychological journeys of individuals. My background with film includes making an 8-minute long documentary about a woman who lives with a rare bone disease, which was featured at the end-of-term student film screenings at UBC. I have co-created this film from beginning to end, which involved shooting, directing, and editing. I have attained a B.A. in Cognitive Systems from UBC and work as a data analyst now. My professional goal is to pivot into working as a filmmaker as this is my main passion.
