I recently completed my PhD studying "How participatory video can raise citizen voice in international development contexts." In this journey, I took the 15-years experience I had as a video and multimedia writer/producer/director & documentary filmmaker and applied it to teaching people whose voices most need to be heard. I often train youth and youth workers in using filmmaking and photography as a tool for social change and policy influence. I often partner with organizations like UNICEF, ActionAid and CARE to develop context-specific initiatives that connect community stories to local, national and international action--especially in the areas of disaster risk reduction/recovery and climate change adaptation.
