Maeva Gauthier

I have a wild passion for the ocean, filmmaking, and coastal communities. I'm a marine ecologist and filmmaker who love using film as a tool to engage people with the natural world and fascinating human stories. Since 2013, I have been involved in a very unique and interactive way to connect people with the ocean using live underwater broadcasting. We streamed the first Live underwater dive in IMAX Theatres and streamed live from the Arctic for Canada 150th anniversary. I recently co-founded LiveIt.Earth, a digital platform to connect classrooms in real-time with scientists in the field. I am also working on my Ph.D. in geography, using participatory video to engage youth in the Arctic on global change.
