Dylan Paré

I am an experienced, ethnographic researcher and community organizer with a passion for the creative exploration of identity. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Learning Sciences at the University of Calgary Werklund School of Education with a focus on technology, learning design, virtual reality, and gender and sexual identity. I am also the founder and director of the Queer Code Collective, a design and research-based collective that designs, develops, and researches new models of code and coding with queer and trans experiences at the forefront. Our work involves developing interactive and immersive computer simulations that integrate narrative storytelling with coding, computing, and digital art.
