What You Hear Is What I See.
The woman behind StandOUT Publications is the epitome of a leader – breaking down barriers and bridging gaps between communities. She is an advocate and a role model for accessibility, a loyal and dedicated family member, an artistic designer, a trailblazer in two major communities, and a natural-born comedian. Tessa Lerbekmo-Joyes, the CEO and founder of StandOUT Publications is not just the head of her company – she is a wife, a mother of two, and a Deaf person spearheading her way into the hearing world. Being heavily involved in the communities of Calgary and the small town of Cremona, Tessa is well-known and, quite frankly, established in the artistic community. She is a person who has not let her Deafness limit her from doing what she loves and engaging in everyday society.

two big communities in Alberta that is one hour apart from one another, Calgary and Cremona. Tessa Lerbekmo-Joyes is a well known member of both communications with huge following and support system. It will involve the small town of Cremona because of the Net Zero office for StandOUT being built and the clients that Tessa works for. Calgary will be involved because of the big creative community that StandOUT is a huge part of for many years. StandOUT will have a big event in Calgary in April 2020.
how Canadians are like. Our Canadian team is diverse full of cultural backgrounds, ages, abilities and more. We want to show that no matter who we are, what race...we can always be kind to one another and accept others for who they are. We believe in reflecting ourselves to inspire other people to do the same.
both communities because it will put Calgary and Cremona on the map. Both of these places have amazing local businesses and entrepreneurs that are worth working with and supporting for. Alberta has a lot of hidden talent that our magazine is all about exposing the talents and stories to share in Canada and worldwide. The documentary will impact how people think of small towns how there are people who have big dreams no matter where they are and if they work hard and don't give up, the dream can come true.
Here is the construction zone of the Net Zero office that StandOUT Publication is building in Cremona. The office will have a studio and desks, meeting tables for the team to come and work. Also, we are meeting Cremona clients in the office as well. The office will be attached to Tessa's house.
We will be filming in a few areas in Cremona and Calgary. We meet in different locations such as studios, coffee places, Calgary Public Library and more. This is because most team members are from Calgary so it's easier for the Cremona team members to drive to meet rest of the Calgary members.
Here is an example of studios in Calgary that we work with. We usually try new locations throughout the city to explore and discover new locations and businesses to work with. That is the good thing about Calgary, there are many different places that we can shoot for our magazine covers, brand photos and videography when we need it.
We are VERY active on Social Media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Blog) so we will be posting multiple times a day for days to promote about this documentary. We will continue to create new contents by taking photos and designing posts to keep promoting on Social Media. We post approx 3-4 times a day during the peak times where people are active on Social Media. We also have plans to do Instagram stories (we reach 1000 views on our stories) and they will get the audience involved by asking them questions and what they want to know. We have a schedule.
We will have some budget to pay for advertising locally and in the city. We will be working with many other local businesses for sponsorships for our event. We also work with many businesses by publishing abut their story and they always share about us. We know word of mouth advertising is the best for local and we like to advertise to our audience how our clients come back because they are happy with us. We advertise how good it feels to work with us and we will do the same for the documentary marketing plan.
We will be asking many of our family and friends to help us share and vote. We will be messaging them personally and asking them in person. We will be designing a promotional flyer to let our audience know what is going on. Our team will be playing a big role in the marketing as it is what we do everyday anyway for our brand. So once we market our brand, we market the documentary along with it.
