2021 Game Changers Documentary Edition

Celebrate human ingenuity, resilience and grit: 30 creators from the Game Changers Documentary Edition are embarking on their journey with $20,000 to produce their documentary, along with training and mentorship.

How it works

  1. Pitch + Plan

    Oct 14 - Nov 10, 2021

    Send us your documentary short idea and plan for your production. Before applying to the 2021 Game Changers Documentary Edition, please be sure to read the Submission Guidelines and Rules and FAQs.

  2. Award

    Week of Feb 14, 2022

    A team of industry experts and TELUS team members will select 30 projects to receive production funding, training, mentorship and distribution support. Each awarded project receives a $20,000 production grant.

  3. Learn + Create

    Mar 1, 2022 - Jan 25, 2023

    Each successful team will work with mentors to produce and deliver a short documentary, 15+ minutes in duration, and a supplementary content piece 30+ minutes in duration. Projects will be featured on select TELUS platforms in 2023.
