Joseph Crawford

I am a Métis, outdoor filmmaker and photographer based in Calgary, with a passion for immersing myself in extreme outdoor environments. I have completed film projects in remote areas of Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the Torngat Mountains. I have extensive experience working in underwater environments and have created documentary and commercial films for outdoor and adventure companies in Western Canada, primarily on Haida Gwaii. My recent work has been screened on Air Canada In-flight Entertainment, the Banff Mountain Film Festival and the Skeena Wild Film Festival. Recent photography can be seen in Northword Magazine, National Geographic Traveler UK, and Northern Savings Credit Union calendar. Primarily self-taught, I also attended the Adventure Filmmakers workshop at the Banff Centre
