Hussein Alidina

Hussein “DJ A-SLAM” Alidina is a Juno Nominated DJ/producer who mixes Top 40, EDM, and Hip-Hop with South Asian Influences. DJ A-SLAM’s talent and style has garnered him respect in the industry, with his single “For You” winning an international Hip-Hop/R&B songwriting award. His Juno nomination was for the album he co-produced for Canadian R&B singer, Inez, called Sing Soul Girl, which also won several Western Canadian Music Awards. With the help of the BC Music Fund, DJ A-SLAM has launched a new group called the “Global Party Starters”. The GPS sound is following in the footsteps of groups like Major Lazer, Tribe Called Red, and Delhi 2 Dublin, combining electronic beats with urban and cultural influences.
