From cross-country road trips with a lovable hamster to watching artsy creations come to life, embark on unforgettable adventures in these exciting new Canadian kids’ series from the TELUS STORYHIVE Voices program! 

Filmed across B.C. and Alberta, these fun series showcase interactive, inviting and educational perspectives from new and emerging digital content creators. Learn about the many bugs and critters that call our backyards home, visit Vancouver, B.C.’s many creative corners or experience real-life fire-breathing with Arbor the Science dog. Every one of these heartwarming family shows and educational kids' programming is filled with laughter, imagination and discovery for the whole family. 

Here’s a look at just a few of the exciting new kids’ series you can now stream on TELUS Optik TV Video on Demand channel 611 and Stream+. Catch the full series on STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel starting November 25, 2025.

Kya Creates | Penticton, B.C. | Project Lead: Heather McIntosh 

Join Kya as she shares handy how-to videos for various nifty creations, while Heather (a non-crafty person) works to bring them to life. Along the way, discover that creativity is for everyone—no experience needed. 

Backyard Bugs | Calgary, Alberta | Project Lead: Briana Van Den Bussche

Bugs are important components of our ecosystems, yet many people know very little about them. Learn more about the amazing crawly critters that inhabit our backyards and other natural spaces and build a greater connection to nature along the way.

Seeka's Skyway | Edmonton, Alberta | Project Lead: Seeka Holtby 

Seeka's Skyway is a vibrant series that fosters early literacy and social-emotional learning through original music, meaningful dialogue and conversations with Black community members. With its inclusive and engaging approach, Seeka’s Skyway fosters creativity, celebrates diversity, supports early learning and empowers children of all backgrounds to explore, create and connect with the world around them.

SmART Kids | Fort McMurray, Alberta | Project Lead: Renee Manners 

Learn through creativity in this interactive, live studio audience kids' art show that doubles as an opportunity for kids to experience being on set for a YouTube show. Think Art Attack and YTV's Uh-Oh meets Captain Underpants.

Mr. Field Trip! | Vancouver, B.C. | Project Lead: Patrick Spencer 

Hit the road with Vancouver's Mr. Field Trip as we get out of the classroom and into the community! Let's meet some of the interesting people who make our city so special, and learn what they do every day.

Naima's Wonder World | Burnaby, B.C. | Project Lead: Marcel Daly

Naima is a curious and funny 7-year-old black girl who's ready to explore her world. Join her in visiting creative corners of Vancouver as she meets artists, farmers, musicians, curators, media producers and sports experts along with their kids. Through authentic questions and with the help of her parents and friends, she'll help share their inner worlds through her unique perspective while exploring her own identity.

If It Were Real… | Calgary, Alberta | Project Lead: Sarah Bannister

A science communicator and her dog explore the world of fantasy, looking at monsters, magic and memorable moments to ask: “If it were real, how would it work?” Join Sarah and her fluffy co-host, Arbor, as they invite guests into a world of real-life fire-breathing, fantasy familiars and labyrinths. 

Hamilton and the Hamsters | Edmonton, Alberta | Project Lead: Connor Gieck 

Hopscotch is a nut-eating hamster puppet with a curiosity for the world and plenty of questions. Together with his best friend Hamilton, they explore Canada, seeing different environments and learning new things. Join this fun-loving duo as they learn about different places, animals and cultures with lots of humour as they go. Each adventure ends with a new song performed by Hamilton and Hopscotch.

Bruna Party | Kelowna, B.C. | Project Lead: Maria Sanchez 

Tag along with Maria and Bruno in this series as they take you step by step through making a traditional Mexican 7-point star piñata. Learn the meaning behind this iconic design and bring this vibrant tradition to life with your own hands!
