STORYHIVE
Since 2013, TELUS STORYHIVE has supported emerging content creators with production funding, training and mentorship ‒ bringing hundreds of social purpose stories to life on TELUS Optik TV, online and around the world.
Team STORYHIVE is excited to share new grant opportunities coming up in 2023! We encourage beginner and emerging content creators from all ages and backgrounds across British Columbia and Alberta to apply.
From short documentaries, to livestreams and episodic series, we have a program for you.
STORYHIVE Anniversary Edition | Your Story, Your Narrative.
It's STORYHIVE's 10 year anniversary! Celebrate with us by applying to the biggest edition yet, the Anniversary Documentary Edition. We are funding 80 short-form documentaries with $20,000 in production funding, training, mentorship and distribution on Optik TV and Stream+. Pitch any story from your community that you are passionate about!

STORYHIVE Summer Crew 2.0 | Your City, Your Coverage.
Gear up for the second Summer Crew program! Kickstart and drive your online presence and showcase your community on Optik TV and STORYHIVE’s online platforms. An intensive 14-week program where 12 crews (teams of two) from different regions receive microgrants, equipment and training to develop their interview skills. Teams will also gain real-world experience with livestreaming technology. Each crew is a team of two - Apply with a co-creator/friend or separately and we'll pair you up. It’s time to go live!

It’s the third season of STORYHIVE Voices! We are funding up to 100 new and emerging content creators to receive $10,000 in production funding, customized training workshops and distribution on Optik TV to create locally reflective episodic series.

STORYHIVE Visual Podcast 1.0 | Your Mic, Your Platform.
We want to help take your stories to the airways with the STORYHIVE Visual Podcast program! We are funding 20 podcasters with $10,000 in production funding, customized training workshops and distribution on Optik TV and Stream+ to produce their episodic visual series. We’re seeking original, non-fiction podcast pitches and we’re interested in both locally reflective documentary and interview style podcasts with a visual component.
