    • Hello! I’m Emily Weldon, and I am a Marketing Manager at TELUS STORYHIVE. One of the things I love doing in my role is helping to amplify community events produced by our content creators across B.C. and Alberta, and I’m here to tell you about one of them today!

    I’m excited to share how you can celebrate the premiere of Wonder Collective—an all-new digital series produced in the TELUS STORYHIVE Voices program—live and in person this Saturday.

    Made in the Calgary area, Wonder Collective invites early elementary school children to explore sustainability, planetary stewardship and community engagement through storytelling and interactivity. On September 20, join host Lissa and the creators of Wonder Collective at Festival Hall in Calgary for a special launch event to celebrate the premiere of the show. Be sure to bring your little ones!

    Just like the digital series, this event will uplift curiosity, kindness and wonder with an afternoon of awesome festivities. Expect community vendors, fun kid-friendly activities inspired by the series, face painting, a caricature artist, a sneak peek at Wonder Collective and a musical performance from Jed and the Valentine (the band behind Wonder Collective’s music)! Come curious, and leave inspired.

    As a Marketing Manager, opportunities like these to cheer on the innovative, heartfelt and captivating series that TELUS STORYHIVErs create are some of my favourite parts of the year. I can’t wait to see Calgarians come by and connect with their community to experience the spirit of kindness and exploration that Wonder Collective uplifts. This is sure to be a memorable and joyful afternoon fueled by local storytelling and this series’ powerful mission. 

    Host and Wonder Collective content creator Lissa Pescitelli-Machnik remarks on what excites her most about bringing her community together around Wonder Collective: 

    “I’m so excited for the Wonder Collective Community Launch event because it’s not only a wonder-filled way to celebrate the very first season of Wonder Collective, but also a chance to highlight the inspiring work of local organizations making our world a brighter place. It’s a celebration of curiosity, kindness, wonder and the power of community.”

    Wonder Collective was funded in the TELUS STORYHIVE Voices program and will be available to watch, alongside 58 brand new digital series, on TELUS Optik TV Video on Demand channel 9 and Stream+ starting September 23, 2025, and will be available on TELUS STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel on November 25, 2025.
