Celebrating 35 emerging Pan-Asian filmmakers!
Posted on September 10, 2025We’re thrilled to introduce the 35 selected filmmakers for the inaugural TELUS STORYHIVE Pan-Asian Storyteller Edition.
From immigration journeys to intergenerational family dynamics, cultural identity, food traditions and more—these filmmakers are bringing forward powerful stories that reflect the richness and diversity of Pan-Asian experiences across B.C. and Alberta.
This program marks an important milestone: a dedicated platform for Canadian Pan-Asian voices to share their narratives with communities locally and beyond. These selected recipients will each receive $20,000 in production funding, plus training, one-on-one mentorship (provided by the National Screen Institute) and distribution on TELUS Optik TV and online platforms
With the generous support of Creative BC, the B.C.-based projects will also receive $6,000 in top-up funding.
