Gillianne Richards
My primary training is as a writer and producer of 5-7 min video and/or radio pieces on arts and culture in the Central Okanagan, BC. I was trained and worked as a volunteer at Shaw Communications for a few years, then was hired as an associate producer and arts columnist for CBC Daybreak South, the morning show based in Kelowna, BC. I have worked on set for local film productions in a number of roles (costume assistant, actress, extras wrangler, production assistant) and am currently working on my first project as producer/director for the City of Kelowna, creating a short video interviewing and featuring public artists for a new piece that will be installed this fall. I have written two full narrative screenplays and my professional goal is to team up and film them in my hometown.
