How It Works

STORYHIVE is a simple production funding and distribution competition for emerging content creators in Metro Vancouver and Victoria.

  1. Phase 01

    Pitch & Plan

    October 14 - November 3

    Send us your video idea and the plan for your production.

  2. Phase 02

    Vote & Promote

    November 10 - December 1

    The community votes to shortlist 15 favourites and promotes them on social networks.
  3. Phase 03

    Awards & Screen Time

    December 8 - March 2

    The 15 favourites each get $10k to produce their pilot, which is showcased on TELUS Optik™ TV On Demand and online.

$50,000
Starting March 2015, the 15 finalists from Stage 1 will enter Stage 2 of the competition where one winning pilot will be selected to receive a $50,000 grant to produce their full series, plus a training and mentorship opportunity. Details to come December 2014.
