Synopsis

Following the disappearance of her niece Tamara in 2005, Gladys Radek started on a journey of activism and understanding. She has crossed the country several times to promote awareness for the cause of missing & murdered Indigenous women & girls, and her activism has led to improvements in local transportation systems and highway signage. Her work promotes healing through sharing, storytelling, and cultural connection. Through Radek's insights we will explore the most memorable moments of her epic journey - as she helps us understand why Indigenous women are more at risk in Canadian society, and consider how they can be supported in claiming power, safety, hope and healing in today's world.
