The family of a rare disease child leave their "safety bubble" and reach out to a diverse community in search of a cure.
Six year old Lexi has an ultra-rare degenerative disease that no-one has ever heard of called Blau syndrome. Her parents have always tried to protect her by ensuring that she stays as far away from germs (and most people) as possible. For years her parents didn't share her diagnosis with her, or others, they worked in isolation looking for a cure. Her parents have just had a paradigm shift. Join Lexi and her dad as they get out into the community and make powerful local connections that move them ever closer to their goal of finding a cure.
