Isawa' (Blackfoot for ‘change’) is a striking, non-verbal, visual journey of a province in transition.
Isawa' is a visual journey through Alberta in this present moment. It is a reflection of where we've been, what may lay ahead, and the connections in between. A non-verbal film, composed of deliberate and striking imagery; it's a mosaic of discovery and understanding. Alberta, at present, seems to be a microcosm of the modern world at large. What types of change are underway? What does that look like? This film will travel from the natural wonder around us to our resource extraction industries, bustling city life, to the spirituality of First Nations, and into our vibrant multicultural modernism. The aim is to show Alberta in a new way, where connectivity feels tangible. Through this immersive journey, the audience will feel captivated, and ultimately engaged to imbue their own meaning.
Thrilled to be bringing this project to life. It's something I've had on my mind for the last several years, as I've worked on my filmmaking craft. Please reach out if you're a local musical composer..!
