Girls vs. The City is a satirical look at life in one of the most beautiful and most expensive cities in the world. Comedians Brynn and Brianna navigate sky rocketing rent prices and a rapidly draining dating pool with quick wit and awkward hilarity.
The blind lead the blind as two 20-somethings try to ‘make it’ (or at least get a date) in a less than forgiving city.
Girls vs. The City is a satirical look at life in one of the most beautiful (and most expensive) cities in the world: Vancouver, Canada. Comedians Brynn and Brianna play exaggerated versions of themselves in a series of both self and character-based sketch. As the series will take place entirely in Vancouver, the city itself will be, more often than not, the butt of the joke. Sky rocketing rent prices and a rapidly draining dating pool are just a few of the speed bumps these women encounter. Their quick wit and banter keep them going when the rest of the city has turned its back on them. Over time, Brynn and Brianna discover just how much (or how little) they can do within the city limits.
Say hi to the dream team! Brynn, Brianna and Brian not only all have names that sound VERY similar but they have been working together creating comedy for over 5 years! They're the perfect storm of dad jokes, good (bad) puns & bathroom humor.
Robbie is the ultimate nice guy. He's lived a life of hard work and sticking to his guns, and somehow, he's not quite where he wants to be. He pops up in all sorts of interactions with Brynn and Brianna. Somehow, they are karmically meant to be together, in some shape or form.
Brynn is a lively, bright woman who may not always have the answer, but she is willing to finesse her way to the top. She speaks the language of young Vancouverites (even if it's a language she made up) and will stop at nothing to get a date.
Brianna is a little scared of the future, and hasn't quite fully immersed herself into the world of Tinder, Snapchat and whatever other things the kids are using these days. She is a free spirit at heart, and just wants to be able to live her life freely ie. not be constrained to the daily grind of working "an adult job". She can also be a realist, forcing her best friend Brynn to make hard decisions.
Our generation is going through things that no other generation has encountered before. It's a new world, and Girls vs. The City will be the voice of the women and men who have had to like, regram and hashtag their way to the top.
We like to laugh, plain and simple. And we strive to make people chuckle, guffah and maybe even snort a little. Girls vs. The City is satirical, light-hearted, and will sometimes go for the comedy jugular.
