2019 Community Youth Edition

Fresh to frame.

Inspire youth in the Okanagan to create their own films about digital citizenship, and you could receive $10K in production funding, as well as training and mentorship for the team. Teachers, schools and youth facilitators are invited to apply for the inaugural Youth Community Stories program.

HOW IT WORKS

Youth Community Stories is a pilot program in partnership with Reel Youth which provides free production training, film mentorship and $10,000 in production funding for schools and organizations working with youth in the Okanagan area. Successful teams will be notified the week of December 2, 2019.

LEARN + CREATE

February 8, 2020 - June 26, 2020

Successful teams will be awarded $10,000 and an invitation to attend a weekend training workshop in February. Teams will also receive mentorship through Reel Youth to help through the filmmaking process. The completed short films will be featured on select TELUS platforms in 2020.
