Rhia Aden

Rhia Aden is a creative based in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) Treaty 6 territory, who is passionate about storytelling and community engagement through the arts. As a dedicated community organizer, Rhia collaborates with non-profit organizations to bring impactful artistic experiences to the community. In addition to their community work, Rhia co-founded STAY WOC, a festival dedicated to platforming women of colour in the arts within their city. This initiative highlights their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the creative industry. Building on this experience, she has taken short courses on filmmaking and storytelling to gain valuable insights. Now, they are keen to take the next step in their creative journey by making her first short film.
