Margaret Murphy
Margaret Murphy shares many passions: storytelling, writing, teaching and celebrating the stories of women of courage and grace. Over the past 23 years, Margaret has researched, created and presented stories about Canadian poet/recitalist E. Pauline Johnson, peace activist Muriel Duckworth, Vancouver Island pioneer women: Cougar Annie and Sylvia Stark, as well as artist Georgia O’Keeffe. In addition, Margaret has co-created and presented with Wendy Potter, the story of modern hospice founder, Dame Cicely Saunders. Member of Storytellers Of Canada and founding member of Nanaimo's Around Town Tellers, Margaret coaches individuals and groups in the art and craft of storytelling. Margaret now wants to widen the story circle and strengthen community connections by creating vibrant podcasts.
