JakeJoy Mulyk

I have been a visual artist for over 20 years. I first graduated from U of A, where I studied community development. I now apply all this previous lived experience and education into my career as a psychotherapist. I graduated with my masters in Counselling Psychology and I now work with clients who are trying to get back self-limiting anxiety, rumination and low self-confidence or troubled sense of self-worth. In 2020, I produced 11 podcasts interviewing visual artists around Calgary. It introduced me to the behind the scenes work involved in producing a podcast. I attended Calgary's Podcast summit two years in a row. Creating art in various forms is still one of my passions. I find that creativity affects so many aspects of our lives and can change ordinary into extrodinary.
