Minab Yetbarek

The story of immigration and the story of Canada interest me most. I immigrated here in my teens from Africa, and have long been interested in the media of film and television. I have a burgeoning interest in Philosophy and Law, and in my downtime, I enjoy telling fictional stories of families and individuals in exodus through story writing and poetry. I also do literary translations, mostly of poetry, and have published an original collection. Film is a lifelong love; I not only enjoy watching movies and TV shows, but have made a few short documentaries in the past, and participated in many small productions and student films as well. I am looking for an opportunity to tell stories of Eritreans and the lives of the burgeoning diaspora community navigating life in Canada.
