Igor Kostin

My carrier as documentary filmmaker started when I was 25 years old working as a director and editor on Grodno TV station in Belarus in 2000. I resumed this calling when I arrived to Canada in 2005. I have been director of photography and editor on numerous documentaries in Kamloops that promote the people of the region and its vision. Many have been commercially aired. All of them feature people with various backgrounds, ages and ethnicities. I have also been commissioned to work on multiple fictional short films and features with social messages on them, enabling me to develop additional insights into how to make documentaries more emotionally engaging, and therefore effective.
