Holly Fortier dedicates her professional life to Indigenous cultural awareness training. She facilitates workshops across Alberta and beyond to businesses, church groups, educators and charitable organizations. She is an expert on Indigenous history, cultural traditions, treaties and law, and she has a uniquely effective approach to talking about residential schools using honesty without hostility. She has been involved in the Alberta film industry since the early 1990s and has appeared in productions including North of 60, The Assassination of Jesse James and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Holly created her first film for Storyhive "A Mother's Voice" about her mother Lina Gallup, who survived Residential School.
