Kristina Fithern-Stiele

Kristina is a writer and filmmaker in Calgary, Alberta. In 2021 she was selected to be part of the inaugural TV Series Lab through the imagineNATIVE Institute to develop a horror anthology series called In the Woods. Her most recent short film "Shadows in Time" is about racism faced by indigenous girls in Canada and premiered in November 2021. In 2019 she wrote, produced, and directed the short film “Breathe” which premiered at the imagineNATIVE festival. The film has run at imagineNATIVE several times since, including the June 2022 program and was an Official Selection at CAFF 2021. She earned a bachelor’s in creative writing the University of Victoria and then a diploma from the SAIT Polytechnic Film and Video Program.
