Nicolas Ayerbe-Barona
Vancouver, BC
I helped produce commercial work seen over the internet and television, short films focused on community, education, technology, society and one fully micro-budget film entirely done outside of the system. My filmmaking approach is indie, but with an eye towards improving society, fostering critical conversation, and changing people’s minds. I am an active participant in the Vancouver film community where I fundraised for the local short film festival, and program events for the Documentary Organization of Canada. I studied film at UBC and Digital Media at SFU. I believe in uplifting our homegrown talent, cementing Canada as an entertainment and media centre, and teaching visual storytelling to the people.
