Alexa Gilker

I'm a screenwriter and playwright currently based out of Calgary, Canada. I have a BFA and MFA in writing, which means I know the necessary, kinda boring technical stuff, and I co-founded a production co., Beautiful Obedient Productions, to put the technical knowledge to use. I've written and produced 3 short films, including Chokecherry (which premiered and won awards across Canada) and A Cohort of Guests, which starred several actors from Grey's Anatomy (and yeah, I fan-girled HARD), had two plays premiere in Canada, and work as a freelance screenwriter worldwide. Currently, I also own and operate my own business, Whitespace Writers, teaching creative writing workshops because apparently I can't. stop. writing.
