Olivia Rose is no stranger to the stage. At 17, the rising country singer-songwriter already has more than a decade of experience to her credit. Olivia Rose, who grew up in Elk Point before relocating to Edmonton, began writing songs before her 10th birthday, taking cues from the greats like Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash. Even at such a young age, her compositions struck a chord with listeners and quickly earned her a litany of accolades. She’s been named a finalist in the CBC Searchlight songwriting competition, the It’s Your Shot national all-genre songwriting competition, the Calgary FolkFest Songwriting competition, and she was awarded the CN Youth Award at Edmonton’s Mayor’s Celebration for the Arts.
