Mitchell Poundmaker

Mitchell Poundmaker is a Cree Blackfoot First Nations visual digital artist and animator from Calgary Alberta. He discovered theatre and toured many shows through out the province of Saskatchewan and eventually joining a professional theatre company as a stage performer, he trained in classic and original productions for the span of 7 years after high school. Returning to Calgary in 2008, Mitchell picked up his first love of visual art completed various small animation projects involving various school projects. Mitchell Poundmaker has illustrated 4 blackfoot graphic novels. He is currently securing the sole proprietorship of a self publishing company dedicated to illustrating and publishing kids books and comics for underground writers and storytellers thru books, film, and animation.
