Shyam Valera

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science and realized how boring the current health communications field actually is. Parallel to this realization, I saw the lack of diversity in the media and the stories that were being produced. I have had a passion for storytelling and filmmaking and along with my best friend, we started a company called Dunya Media. We believe stories should reflect the world they exist in. The world is diverse, with a rich set of people and experiences ready to be shared with and enrich us all. Currently, I am a producer, writer, and actor with many projects under my belt. My most recent production was a webseries called Welcome to Surrey. My future plan for world domination will be accomplished by making people happy, healthy, and a little more educated.
