My passion lies in acting and film even though my career was in education. My cultural background with roots in India and Fiji, my education, experience as a teacher and principal, and my family life have provided me with rich fodder to continue to learn my craft. Film is a powerful medium to come together and share our stories while learning different perspectives. My most recent productions as an indie filmmaker, “All Kinds of Weather” and “The Comedy Doula,” touch on intricate, intersectional social issues. Currently, I’m working with Delta Stageworks as an associate artist developing “My Mother’s Story” which depicts the truth of the relationships we have with our mothers. I’ve been hungry to make films my whole life. I’m so excited to share the stories I have to offer to the world!
