By the time Kent graduated from UBC with his degree in Psychology, he had already got a taste of the modelling and entertainment industries (host of Azn Lifestyles TV). But he wanted an even larger challenge. So he took acting head on. Kent booked his first major role as Jack in the indie feature film John Apple Jack. The film went on to be the official selection for numerous film festivals around the world. At CAIFF Kent was nominated for a best actor award for his portrayal of Jack next to Oscar Winner Richard Dreyfuss. In April 2017, Kent became the first Chinese actor in Pakistani history to play a lead role in a Pakistani film. Chalay Thay Saath went on to screen for 4 consecutive weeks despite screening at the same time with Fast and the Furious 8 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
