While at a sleepover, a group of girls accidentally unleash a terrible spirit unto the world and must now stop it.
NIGHT LIGHT is a throwback to classic adventure movies like The Goonies, Stand by Me, and ET. One thing we felt was missing in the genre was a film that revolved around a group of female friends going on an adventure and to go with the Storyhive theme of female lead projects, we thought this was a perfect opportunity to tell this story. The plot revolves around a group of friends who, while at a sleepover, accidentally unleash an evil spirit and now its up to them to stop it before its too late. Casting drama students from a local high school, we want to tell a story that has a lot of excitement but also showcase a side of female friendship that hasn't been shown before.
The new girl in town. Her family moves around a lot because of her fathers job, so she has hard time making friends. But after getting to know the other three girls, she may have found a place where she actually belongs. But with an evil spirit running around, it may not last long.
Michelle may be in junior high, but she has her life all planned out down to the minute. One thing she never planned for though, was dealing with supernatural forces.
A year older than the other girls, Anna feels like she has to take care of the others and she stands up to anyone that is looking to cause her friends trouble. But we will see how she fairs against a opponent from beyond the grave.
Her list of allergies and medications she requires could span an entire novel. But she never lets that get in the way of living her life or experimenting with her latest science project. But there no science that can explain how a portal to the other side was opened.
People who love classic adventure movies like The Goonies, Stranger Things, and ET will love our fresh take on a genre that is full of excitement and exploration and heartfelt moments of tenderness.
We want to create a story that the whole family will love. A big inspiration for the film comes those old Spielberg movies which would appeal to a wide range of ages and audiences and movies that you would want to take the whole family to go see.
We tried to think of films that centered around a friendship of young girls going on an adventure and we couldn't think of any. We want to create that movie and we want to tell the story that we always wanted growing up, the one that shows that young girls have a sense of adventure and exploration inside them.
